ive wacthed this movie newly, i think its an interesting movie. We should think about the future of humanity.there are wide range of endings,so this movie's ending could be one of them. It is a kind of Sci-Fi movie as you guess.

About the movie

There is a lethal exploding electromagnetic waves coming from the outer space so they(bad people-authorities) need someone to deliver(save) them. Someone is deadly.
they(actually and old man and a girl) try a devistated person named Joseph Steadman who is in a terrible situation.
He lives by himself and works as an securtiy crew.Security job doesnt make a sense for him. The job is too cheesey to him.
Joseph lost his everthing. his wife is died and he cant contact to his daughters overwhelmingy.
Joseph tries to contact to them against the odds.
An old-man abuses him and converts him into a destructive electrical machine. Old-man propels and orients Joseph in a bad way.
At first, Joseph overreacts to old-man(normally).
Finally, Joseph embraces who he really is.
Even so, the old man make Joseph do things wrong (without Joseph's consent)
